Getting started

Students must send the instructor an email through their Blackboard account to establish a communication link. Students will receive a welcome letter along with the standard CD given to online students.

Assignments will be accessed and submitted through Blackboard. Online discussions may be required.

Textbooks

There is one textbook required and one DVD (contains chapter videos) required. Textbook information is available online at the JCCC Bookstore.

Computer skills required

Basic computer skills and a working knowledge of Blackboard are required. Students should plan to attend the distance learning orientation session offered before classes begin each semester if they are unsure of how to utilize Blackboard.
