BOT 101: Computerized Keyboarding; Jean Smith
- Getting started
- Students will receive a welcome letter, software CD, and standard CD given to online students. Students must send an email through Blackboard to establish communications with the instructor.
- On-Campus Class Meetings
- None.
- Tests
- One final exam is required. Students must come to campus to complete the exam which is scheduled one time during the afternoon and one time in the evening. A picture ID is required.
- There is a mid-term and final deadline. Appropriate dates are listed on

- Students should check email daily.
- Basic online format
- All software and textbook assignments are to be completed on the student's home computer or in the BOT labs on campus (GEB 353A, GEB 353B, and GEB 351B) when the lab is not being used by a class. Assignments are to be submitted through Blackboard.
- Textbooks
- There is one textbook required. It is listed on the course syllabus and may be purchased in the JCCC Bookstore.
- Computer skills required
- There are no pre-requisites for this class, however, it can be challenging for the student who has NO keyboard skills.
