BIOL 230: Microbiology; Heather Seitz
- Getting started
- Log into Angel and find the "Getting Started" material to get started in Microbiology.
- On-Campus Class Meetings
- This course has required meetings every Thursday of the semester from 5-6pm. These in class meetings are REQUIRED and necessary for successful completion of this course.
- Tests
- The four unit exams will be given in the Testing Center during a defined period of time.
- Self-paced or deadlines
- This is not a self-paced course, students must read and follow the syllabus' schedule of deadlines.
- Frequency of course access
- Students should expect to access this course 3-4 times a week at minimum. There will be required assignments, online lectures, and pre-class quizzes that will be due at the scheduled Thursday in class meetings.
- Basic online format
- Students will use materials on Angel to complete course assignments. The materials available will be online lectures, discussions, animations, and review modules.
- Textbooks
- The textbook for this course is required.
- Computer skills required
- Students should expect to access the internet, have all required plug-ins for Angel, use a word processor, and communicate effectively through email and discussion boards.
