Getting started

Log into Angel and find the "Getting Started" material to get started in Microbiology.

On-Campus Class Meetings

This course has required meetings every Thursday of the semester from 5-6pm. These in class meetings are REQUIRED and necessary for successful completion of this course.

Tests

The four unit exams will be given in the Testing Center during a defined period of time.

Self-paced or deadlines

This is not a self-paced course, students must read and follow the syllabus' schedule of deadlines.

Frequency of course access

Students should expect to access this course 3-4 times a week at minimum. There will be required assignments, online lectures, and pre-class quizzes that will be due at the scheduled Thursday in class meetings.

Basic online format

Students will use materials on Angel to complete course assignments. The materials available will be online lectures, discussions, animations, and review modules.

Textbooks

The textbook for this course is required.

Computer skills required

Students should expect to access the internet, have all required plug-ins for Angel, use a word processor, and communicate effectively through email and discussion boards.
