Getting started
You will be able to login on the first day of the semester. Once the webpage is available, read the welcome letter and syllabus which will be sent to your email (in addition to being posted to the course website). If you have never taken an online course before, you should consider going through the Distance Learning Orientation at www.jccc.net/distancelearning. On-Campus Class Meetings
There will be no on-campus meetings.
Tests
Weekly quizzes will be given. They are taken online and will be available for the duration of the specified week -- no longer.
Self-paced or deadlines
This class is deadline driven. Posts to the discussion list and exams must be taken within a specific time frame; see course calendar. Late submissions will not be accepted.
Frequency of course access
Students must access the course two to three times a week.
Basic online format
Students use a secure website, which provides a schedule, supplemental materials, quizzes, and exams. Students participate in on-line discussion groups and generate blog entries throughout the semester.
