Getting started
The catalogue has a statement requesting student email me through My JCCC one week prior to class. Additionally, I mail an introductory letter with a Blackboard disc to their residence of record.

Students take all exams and quizzes online.
Self-paced or deadlines
Students work within parameters (assignments for the course are available from Day 1)
Frequency of course access
Presently students have no specific number of times to access the course, but I am moving in the direction of requiring twice weekly contact.
Basic online format
The present format includes weekly chapter assignments (there is an e-book); weekly quizzes; weekly discussion questions and monthly live chats.
Textbooks
Students have the option to purchase a text or simply use the e-book. Textbook information is available online at the JCCC Bookstore.
Computer skills required
Very basic computer skills: familiarity with Blackboard; ability to post messages.
