ADMJ 127: Criminology; Frank Galbrecht
- Getting started
- It is not necessary to contact the instructor start of classes. After classes begin, all communication with the instructor is made through the Criminology website ONLY. No e-mails are to be addressed to stumail, faculty mail or any other location. No phone messages please. Adherence to this policy will ensure THAT THE INSTRUCTOR RECEIVES YOUR MESSAGE(S) IN PROMPTLY. Links are provided on the website to access the JCCC Distance Education CD that will provide detailed information about Blackboard and how to use it as well as to the JCCC Bookstore.
- On-Campus Class Meetings
- None.
- Tests
- There are three (3) exams, including the Final, and one (1) paper. All exams are administered on-line. The paper is submitted through the course website and is returned the same way.
- Self-paced or deadlines
- Students work within set parameters laid out in the on-line course syllabus. Assignments for the course are available from Day 1.
- Frequency of course access
- There are no specific number of times to access the course. However, it is highly recommended that students review the "Discussion Board" and their private e-mail every day to ensure that information about the course is received in a timely manner. All ex
- Basic online format
- The present format includes weekly chapter assignments and discussion questions.
- Textbooks
- Students purchase the course text and have the option of also purchasing a study guide. Both are highly recommended. Textbook information is available online at the JCCC Bookstore.
- Computer skills required
- Very basic computer skills: familiarity with Blackboard; ability to post messages, send e-mails and attachments in the Microsoft WORD format.
